The temazcal is one of Mesoamerica’s oldest healing ceremonies — a dome of earth and stone that becomes a womb of heat, steam and song. Inside, volcanic stones warmed in sacred fire release waves of herb-infused steam.
Guided by an experienced temazcalero in the Mayan tradition, the ceremony moves through rounds of intention, chant and release. It is a physical and spiritual cleanse — a symbolic return to the earth and a rebirth.
